El festival internacional Coximatlan, es un evento anual que ofrece al pueblo de Coquimatlán una alternativa para la apreciación y valoración del trabajo de artistas de México y el extranjero; desarrollándose en su centro histórico y en diversos foros alternos donde es posible compartir la riqueza cultural y propuestas escénicas de países de diferentes partes del mundo.
Coximatlan realizó el primer congreso internacional por la paz del mundo, congreso en el que fue posible conocer la situación actual en materia de Derechos Humanos de los diversos países y Estados participantes. Se generó satisfactoriamente un acuerdo en la promoción de la Paz a través de la creación artística.
Coximatlan se ha realizado con gran éxito, generando impacto y ampliando la apreciación cultural en el público asistente.
Hemos contado con diversos escenarios y foros alternos donde ha sido posible el pleno desarrollo de las diferentes puestas en escena.
Centro histórico de Coquimatlán, Teatro Universitario Cnel. Pedro Torres Ortiz de la Universidad de Colima, Instituto Universitario de Bellas Artes IUBA, Centro de Educación Artística de Colima CEDART / INBA y diversas escuelas de nivel primaria y secundaria del Estado de Colima.
El Festival Internacional Coximatlan, es un espacio dedicado a la promoción y difusión de las artes escénicas locales, nacionales e internacionales.

The Coximatlan international festival is an annual event that offers the people of Coquimatlán an alternative for the appreciation and appreciation of the work of artists from Mexico and abroad; developing in its historic center and in various alternative forums where it is possible to share the cultural richness and scenic proposals of countries from different parts of the world.
The 2017 edition, Coximatlan held the first international congress for peace in the world, congress in which it was possible to know the current situation in terms of Human Rights of the various countries and participating States. An agreement was successfully generated in the promotion of Peace through artistic creation.
The 2017 edition was carried out with great success, generating impact and broadening the cultural appreciation of the attending public.
The second edition 2017 had various scenarios and alternative forums where it was possible the full development of the different staging.
